About Me
Hi, I am Leslie!
I am an Austin, TX based pastel artist with a passion for celebrating others and storytelling. I love to draw and find joy in capturing moments worth remembering.
I’ve had a love for art ever since I was a little girl. When I got to college, drawing became my specialty. One professor challenged us to use pastels, and I fell in love. It is such a fun, messy, and intimate medium. I have been drawing with pastels ever since. Some of my drawings have been displayed at the Baum Gallery in Conway, AR.
When I am not drawing, I am equipping little humans with a love for art as an elementary art teacher. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with friends at Barton Springs pool, trying new coffee shops, and practicing my longboarding skills!
I work and reside in Austin, TX and I am open to travel to help you remember your day in pastels.
What are Pastels?
A pastel is an art medium, consisting of powdered pigment and a binder (binders hold the pastel sticks together). Pastels are different from other art mediums in part because of its unique ability to blend and layer. These techniques allow the artist to bring together vibrant colors to create a soft and dreamy look!
